Hip-Hop
Despite appearances, Hip-Hop is a soft-hearted and sensitive soul. He likes to study the color of flowers and the shapes of clouds... He is the quiet one of the group, rarely ever talking (when he’s angry, he growls). Luckily he has Pia and Pio, two birds perched on his head, to do the talking for him. Pia shares wise thoughts that are way over the head of our heroes (“Without yellow there is no green. Without defeat there is no victory”), while Pio enjoys saying childish things like “fart in the butter!”. Hip-Hop and these birds are inseparable. Before he set off on the big Bao Battle quest, Hip-Hop lived with his parents and little sister and worked after school at the family pastry shop. He is not adventurous in the least, but he came along to look after his two friends. Kuro and Melka know they can always rely on him. When he is pushed into a corner, Hip-Hop can be a formidable opponent! Hip-Hop knows one day he will return to the village, once the quest is over. Which is why he says after each battle: “Are we done yet ?”
